Prepare to be awed by this exceptional wedding reception venue! The experience begins with a drinks reception where guests can mingle freely throughout The Carriage Rooms and surrounding grounds.
The Scene
It’s very difficult not to be in awe the first time you visit this exceptional wedding venue both as a beautiful structure and as a backdrop for this most important of days. One of our favourite moments when showing couples around the venue is the look of surprise and delight on their faces while they imagine themselves celebrating within the banquet hall of this grade B listed building.
The Romance
Developed around an 18th Century mill, The Carriage Rooms is steeped in history. The original stone walls, sculpted arches and wooden beams offer a lingering, romantic feel of a time gone by. Everything was designed to complement the original building including the courtyard, garden areas and the carriage on the lawn. Finished to the highest of standards, complicated room décor isn’t required but rather some simple, personal touches can truly make it feel like yours.
This is a flexible space and as such can comfortably accommodate up to 180 guests when no government restrictions are in place. There are modern restroom facilities and free Wi-Fi is available, so that should you wish, then guests can share their captures of your wonderful day as it unfolds.
The Experience
After your ceremony or upon your guests’ arrival if the ceremony is taking place elsewhere, everyone can be greeted with an elegant reception in The Orangery. Guests will also mingle throughout The Garden Room and Walled Garden, all of which are fantastically bright and airy spaces. Think lawn games with a glass of sparkling in hand whilst taking in amazing vistas of the surrounding meadow and landscape.
The Memories
Take full advantage of the tranquil beauty 400 acres of Montalto Estate has to offer. Our couples and their photographer are welcome to explore the grounds for opportunities to take those idyllic photographs. Your photographer will have their job made easy though as the boathouse, Montalto Lake and Montalto House cry out as a fairytale backdrop.
