Q: How long can we provisionally hold a date for you?
A: We will provisionally hold your date for two weeks.

Q: Can I come to the venue for a viewing?
A: Absolutely. Viewings are by appointment only so please contact us in advance to arrange your viewing.

Q: What is the maximum number of guests we can have at our wedding?
A: In usual circumstances, this was up to 180 people, including the bridal party allowed. Please contact us with your details and we will be happy to advise.

Q: Can I invite additional people as evening guests?
A: Yes

Q: What is the minimum number of guests we can have at our wedding?
A: We don’t have a minimum number of guests. If you plan to have a more intimate wedding we would suggest looking at our other outstanding venue, Montalto House or speak to us directly so we can fully understand what your dream day looks like.

Q: Can you offer opportunities for either an indoor or outdoor ceremony?
A: Yes, we certainly can. We will accommodate either an indoor or outdoor ceremony if desired; both in equally photogenic and breath-taking settings for making that all important commitment to one another.

Q: What type of wedding ceremonies can be held at Montalto Estate?
A: The Carriage Rooms is fully licensed for religious or civil ceremonies, as well as civil partnerships and humanist weddings.

Q: Do you offer wedding packages?
A: At The Carriage Rooms we pride ourselves on being able to provide you with a unique and individual wedding experience. In our experience no two couples are the same, so we believe their wedding shouldn’t be either. We don’t provide set packages. This means that even if you or any of your guests have attended weddings at The Carriage Rooms in the past then a fresh new experience is waiting to be enjoyed.

Q: Does the venue hire fee include catering?
A: The rates for the venue do not include catering. This is taken care of by our approved caterers, The Yellow Door, Posh Nosh, Olive & Vine Catering & Top Nosh. Their teams will be available to provide you with a quote for your wedding ensuring the menu is tailored to you.

Q: How long will the venue be available to me for?
A: The Carriage Rooms and all areas associated with it are exclusively yours for the whole day.

Q: Is there bridal suite accommodation included in the hire price?
A: Montalto House is an optional extra should you wish to hire this for the night of your wedding. Pricing for this is separate to the venue hire fee. Please contact us directly if you would like more information regarding this.

Q: Is there outside space and/or gardens that can be used for my drinks reception, photographs, lawn games etc?
A: There certainly is; we have a beautiful, spacious courtyard, several terrace areas and an award-winning walled garden set off our charming orangery. The latter features manicured hedges, herbaceous borders, water features and more. Truly idyllic.

Q: Is the venue suitable for children?
A: We understand that the younger members of your families often make this day even more special. The venue also offers a small play area in our walled garden. This is unobtrusive but a little extra to keep children entertained. Be sure to have a quick look at this during your viewing.

Q: Is there a designated smoking area?
A: We offer designated smoking areas both upstairs and downstairs. These are both spacious and sheltered.

Q: Do you have facilities in place for those with accessibility requirements?
A: The venue meets the latest accessibility requirements including accessible parking spaces, a lift and both male and female accessible toilet cubicles. There are gravelled areas around the venue, but we have ensured that these areas are also accessible with the use of a Cedagravel system.

Q: Does your venue provide a quieter area for guests during the evening party?
A: Yes, we do. The Carriage Rooms is comprised of several inter-connecting rooms and areas which allows flexibility for your guests to mingle as they please without dividing the party. One of these rooms is The Wheel Room; a spacious lounge situated just off the main Sawmill function room. Perfect for those who wish to chat over their highlights of the day so far.

Q: What time are last orders for the bar called at?
A: Last orders at 12:45am, bar close at 1:00am.

Q: Will there be a Carriage Rooms Manager present on the day to help coordinate everything?
A: The Events Team will be there to oversee every little detail of your special day. They will have met with you and will be very clear regarding any specific requests you may have. These are the people that ensure your day goes off seamlessly.

Q: Do you provide a Master of Ceremonies
A: Our Events Team can provide this service for you at no extra cost should it be required.

Q: Will there be any other events taking place at The Carriage Rooms on the same day as my wedding?
A: We have a strict ‘one wedding per day’ policy across Montalto Estate and you can be assured there will be no other events occurring in The Carriage Rooms.

Q: Do you offer on-site co-ordination?
A: Our Events Team will be on hand to assist with setup, your personalised décor and many other aspects of your wedding both during the planning process and on the actual day itself. Throughout the wedding they will be present to look after all behind the scenes building operation, manage venue staff and generally ensure the smooth running of all elements that will contribute towards this fantastic occasion.

Q: Do we have to use your preferred suppliers, or can we bring in our own choice of florist, caterer, band etc.?
A: We do have recommended caterers; The Yellow Door, Posh Nosh, Top Nosh or Olive & Vine Catering. However, if there is anyone else you have in mind please do get in touch with us. If you desire any help regarding suggestions for suppliers or the sourcing of them, we do have a recommended suppliers list available. 

Q: Do you have accommodation onsite?
A: We have Montalto House, which can sleep up to 18 people with a maximum of 2 camp beds for children. To find out more information about accommodation in the area please contact our Events Team.
